Utkarsh RuPay Classic Debit Card will be issued to Standard Saving, Standard Salary, Corporate Salary, Standard Current, Minors and BSBDA Account Holders.
Customers may opt for RuPay Classic Debit Card on their active Savings/Current accounts. Customers can visit their nearest Utkarsh Small Finance Bank branch or may call our Customer Care (1800-123-9878) 24×7. Customers can also place their request through Internet/Mobile Banking.
Customers need to provide the following documents to apply for a Debit Card:
  • Residential address proof

  • Date of birth proof

  • Proof of Age

  • Two passport size photograph (latest).

  • Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence,NREGA Card, Voter ID Card will be considered as proof of above.

Generate your Debit Card PIN by simply following the below mentioned steps through different digital channels and your Card will be ready to use:
Internet Banking
  • Step 1: Go to https://www.utkarsh.bank/
  • Step 2: Click on login tab, then select Personal Banking
  • Step 3: Click on “Continue to Login”
  • Step 4: Enter username and password and click on check box, then click on CONTINUE
  • Step 5: Click on the security image, then click on SIGN IN
  • Step 6: Enter OTP sent on your registered mobile number or email id and then click on SUBMIT
  • Step 7: Click on the three horizontal lines reflecting on the left-hand side of the screen
  • Step 8: Click on Cards and then select Debit Cards
  • Step 9: Click on Set / Change Debit Card PIN
  • Step 10: Select your Debit Card Number and enter Card Expiry Date in MM / YY format and Enter New PIN and Confirm New PIN and click on Generate OTP
  • Step 11:Enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number / email id and click on SUBMIT.
  • Step 12: Click on Generate OTP and enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number / email id.
  • Step 13: Click on SUBMIT
  • Step 14: A Confirmation message will be displayed stating- It’s done! Your request for Changing Card PIN has been processed successfully along with reference number and Date & Time.
  • Step 15: Click on DONE. GO BACK
  • Step 16: Your Debit Card is Active and ready to be used

  • Step 2: Enter your login credentials (User Id & Password or MPIN) and click on continue
  • Step 3: Click on More option reflecting at the right bottom of the screen
  • Step 4: Click on Cards and select Debit Cards
  • Step 5: Click on the three horizontal lines reflecting on the right-hand side of the screen
  • Step 6: Click on Set / Change Debit Card PIN
  • Step 7: Select Debit Card Number from the drop-down menu and enter the Card Expiry Date in MM / YY format and Enter New PIN and Confirm New PIN and click on Generate OTP.
  • Step 8: Enter OTP sent on your registered mobile number or email id and click on Submit.
  • Step 9: Click on SUBMIT
  • Step 10: A Confirmation message will be displayed stating- It’s done! Your request for Changing Card PIN has been processed successfully along with reference number and Date & Time.
  • Step 11: Click on DONE. GO BACK
  • Step 12: Your Debit Card is Active and ready to be used.

  • Step 2: Select Language
  • Step 3: Select Set New PIN
  • Step 4: Enter DOB in YYYYMMDD format and click on Correct.
  • Step 5: Select Generate OTP. (OTP will be sent on your Registered Mobile Number)
  • Step 6: Enter your OTP and click on Validate OTP.
  • Step 7:Enter your New PIN and click on proceed
  • Step 8: Re-Enter your New PIN and click on Confirm.
  • Step 9: A Message is Displayed "Your ATM PIN Has Been Generated Successfully".
  • Step 10: Your Debit Card is Active and ready to be used

  • Step 2: Select Card Icon
  • Step 3: Insert your Debit Card when screen displays "Insert card and wait..."
  • Step 4: Select Green PIN Icon
  • Step 5: Select Date of Birth from the calendar displayed on the screen and click on OK
  • Step 6: Click on Generate OTP
  • Step 7: Enter OTP sent on the Customer's registered Mobile no. and then click on Validate OTP.
  • Step 8: Enter 4 digits New PIN and click on Confirm
  • Step 9: Re-Enter your New PIN and click on Confirm
  • Step 10: A Confirmation message is displayed "Your PIN Has Been Generated Successfully".
  • Step 11: Your Debit Card is Active and ready to be used.

Do's
  • Always keep your Password secret! Never write your Password on your card or store it with your card. Memorize your Password.

  • Review your account statements frequently, for fraudulent transactions.

  • Report lost or stolen Debit Cards immediately. To report your Card as lost or stolen please call, (1800-123-9878) 24×7

  • At point of sale locations, or stores, ask that your debit card transactions be processed as credit transactions. These transactions require your signature vs. your PIN. The less you use your PIN in public less the chance someone will obtain it.

  • Take all receipts from ATMs. Keep them for verification against your monthly statement.

  • Block the view of keypads when using ATMs.

  • Keep your cards in a safe place.

  • Cancel all inactive Debit Cards.

  • Look for fraudulent devices attached to ATMs or gas pump card readers. If the machine appears to have any attachments or alterations do not use it and report the problem to the appropriate financial institution or vendor.

Don'ts
  • Do not give any Debit Card information over the phone or Internet.This includes your 16-digit card number and your PIN. No one needs to know your PIN, not even your financial institution.

  • Do not allow anyone else to use your Card or enter your PIN for you.

  • Do not use poorly lit ATM locations.

Utkarsh Debit Card makes your payments much more convenient and secure through an electronic payment facility directly debiting from your Savings or Current account maintained with the Bank.

A Debit Card automatically withdraws funds from an attached Bank account. When you pay with a Debit Card, the money is immediately deducted from your checking account.

Debit Card now comes with Chip & Pin facility which has microchip embedded in it and is highly secured. The chip is difficult to tamper with and therefore provides enhanced security to your transactions.

The chip is embedded on the card and contains all information in an encrypted format. It also comes with a personal identification number [PIN] hence making it more safe.

You can choose to apply online or visit your nearest Utkarsh SFB branch. Utkarsh Debit Card comes along with the Account Kit which is given to you at the time of account opening or you can apply through other below mentioned channels:

Internet Banking:

Step 1: Login to Bank's website www.utkarsh.bank

Step 2: Click on Ways to Bank

Step 4: Login to Internet Banking with User Id and password provided by the bank

There are no charges for swiping your card at Petrol pumps or Railway stations.

Yes, the card is in inactive state. You need to activate your card for the first time by using it at any of the ATMs after receiving 4 digit PIN which will be delivered to you at your registered address.

You will be given 3 attempts to enter the correct PIN, post which your Card will be blocked.

Yes, you can change your PIN anytime you wish to. You can change it through any of our Utkarsh SFB ATMs or Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

Your card will be unblocked automatically after 24 hours You can use your Card by entering correct PIN.

No, there are no charges for transactions through our ATMs.

Charges applicable on other bank's ATM transactions beyond threshold limit of 5 free successful transactions per month [Financial+Non-Financial] is ? 21+Applicable Taxes.

Bank may send SMS alerts for all financial transactions.

No, presently the Debit Card can be used only for domestic transactions.

A duly filled in Cardholder Dispute Form [CDF] mentioning all the required details of the disputed transaction[s] and the exact nature of dispute, aids the Cardholder as well as the Bank to initiate accurate investigation with the respective Merchant / Member Bank.

Banks are required to affect the Pro-active reversal of failed transaction within T+5 working days suo-moto [i.e. without waiting for customers to lodge complaints], wherein 'T' refers to date of transaction.

We strongly recommended that for all service related disputes, the Debit Cardholder must first attempt to contact the merchant to resolve the dispute which enables prompt resolution. Considering all attempts have been made to resolve dispute with the merchant, you may call our Customer Care team for raising exact nature of dispute and send relevant supporting document with respect to failed / disputed transactions with complete transaction[s] details to [email protected] or submit the same at your nearest Utkarsh SFB branch.
