Customers can opt for Mastercard Platinum Contactless Debit Card on their active Savings/Current accounts. Customers can visit their nearest Utkarsh Small Finance Bank branch or may call our Customer Care (1800-123-9878) 24×7 (Except National Holidays). Customers can also place their request through Internet/Mobile Banking.

Process to Generate Green PIN through ATM

You can generate your Debit Card PIN through ATM in the following ways:

  • Step 1: Insert your Card
  • Step 2: Select Language
  • Step 3: Select Set New PIN
  • Step 4: Enter DOB in YYYYMMDD format and click on Correct.
  • Step 5: Select Generate OTP. (OTP will be sent on your Registered Mobile Number)
  • Step 6: Enter your OTP and click on Validate OTP.
  • Step 7: Enter your New PIN
  • Step 8: Re-Enter your New PIN and click on Confirm.
  • Step 9: A Message is Displayed "Your ATM PIN Has Been Generated Successfully".
Process to Generate Green PIN through Micro ATM

You can generate your Green PIN through Micro ATM in the following ways:

  • Step 1: Select Green PIN Icon
  • Step 2: Select Date of Birth from the calendar displayed on the screen and Click on OK
  • Step 3: Click on Generate OTP
  • Step 4: Enter OTP (6 digits) sent on the Customer's registered Mobile no. and then click on Validate OTP.
  • Step 5: Enter 4 digits New PIN and click on Confirm
  • Step 6: Re-Enter customer 4 digits New PIN and click on Confirm.
  • Step 7: A Confirmation message is displayed "Your PIN has been generated successfully.
Do's
  • Always keep your Password secret! Never write your Password on your card or store it with your card. Memorize your Password.

  • Review your account statements frequently, for fraudulent transactions.

  • Report lost or stolen Debit Cards immediately. To report your Card as lost or stolen please call, (1800-123-9878) 24×7 (Except National Holidays)

  • At point of sale locations, or stores, ask that your debit card transactions be processed as credit transactions. These transactions require your signature vs. your PIN. The less you use your PIN in public less the chance someone will obtain it.

  • Take all receipts from ATMs. Keep them for verification against your monthly statement.

  • Block the view of keypads when using ATMs.

  • Keep your cards in a safe place.

  • Cancel all inactive Debit Cards.

  • Look for fraudulent devices attached to ATMs or gas pump card readers. If the machine appears to have any attachments or alterations do not use it and report the problem to the appropriate financial institution or vendor.

Don'ts
  • Do not give any Debit Card information over the phone or Internet.This includes your 16-digit card number and your PIN. No one needs to know your PIN, not even your financial institution.

  • Do not allow anyone else to use your Card or enter your PIN for you.

  • Do not use poorly lit ATM locations.

Utkarsh Debit Card makes your payments much more convenient and secure through an electronic payment facility directly debiting from your Savings or Current account maintained with the Bank.

A Debit Card automatically withdraws funds from an attached Bank account. When you pay with a Debit Card, the money is immediately deducted from your checking account.

Contactless Card is a faster way to pay with your debit card for purchases upto 5000/- at participating stores. Instead of dipping [or swiping] your Card on the merchant terminal, simply wave or tap your Card on the contactless enabled terminal and pay without entering a PIN [for amount under 5000/-].

Contactless transaction is secure as the Card is handled and remained to be in the custody of the customers all the time at during making payment at the shops/merchants.It is convenient to pay faster upto 5000/- without dipping or swiping the Card and without entering PIN No.

Yes, Contactless technology uses secure encryption [the same as CHIP and PIN] so you can confidently use it. The maximum transaction value for a contactless transaction is capped at 5000/- which further limits any possible loss. Furthermore, you continue to be protected through the lost Card liability cover on your Card.Ensure that loss of your Card is reported to Utkarsh SFB immediately on discovering the same.

  1. Look out for Wi-Fi symbol on the machine at the shop/store/outlet
  2. Tap the Card on the machine or keep it close to the terminal [for transactions Upto 5000/-]
  3. You will hear a beep/see a green light and get the receipt for the contactless payment you have done

Yes, you will be able to use your Mastercard Platinum Contactless Debit Card, however, if the amount is above Rs.5000/- then you will have to use it like a regular Debit Card by either dipping [or swiping] it in the machine and you will be prompt to enter the PIN.

Please let the shopkeeper know that you need a receipt. However, the receipt is not directly available in some circumstances; for example, while paying for travel by tapping your Card on an electronic ticket reader, or using a contactless Card at a vending machine. And all contactless purchases are recorded on your statement and you will get to see them on your Utkarsh Internet Banking account and Utkarsh Mobile app as well.

Contactless Cards and machines do not work beyond a distance of 4 cm. We would suggest that you remove the Card from your wallet/purse/clutch and keep it on the machine.

No, Your Card has to be tapped within 4 cm of the Card reader for more than half a second and the retailer must have first entered the amount for you to approve. Terminals can only process one payment transaction at a time, thereby reducing transaction errors.

There may be a small chance that the contactless functionality does not work straight away on your new Card. Your Card needs to be activated before the contactless functionality will work. If you use your Card first on a transaction by inserting your Card into a machine then putting a PIN, then contactless should work after this transaction.

Yes, Utkarsh Mastercard Contactless Cards provide cover upto 100% of the purchase limit as long as you report the loss of your Card to Utkarsh SFB immediately

Yes, the Utkarsh Contactless Debit Card can be used for International transaction.

A duly filled in Cardholder Dispute Form [CDF] mentioning all the required details of the disputed transaction[s] and the exact nature of dispute, aids the Cardholder as well as the Bank to initiate accurate investigation with the respective Merchant / Member Bank.

Banks are required to affect the Pro-active reversal of failed transaction within T+5 working days suo-moto [i.e. without waiting for customers to lodge complaints], wherein 'T' refers to date of transaction.

We strongly recommended that for all service related disputes, the Debit Cardholder must first attempt to contact the merchant to resolve the dispute which enables prompt resolution. Considering all attempts have been made to resolve dispute with the merchant, you may call our Customer Care team for raising exact nature of dispute and send relevant supporting document with respect to failed / disputed transactions with complete transaction[s] details to [email protected] or submit the same at your nearest Utkarsh SFB branch.
