You can download the Utkarsh Mobile App from either Google play store or Apple App store, depending on the IOS you are using. All you need to do is follow the below mentioned process to download the app:
- Go to the Play Store and search for Utkarsh Mobile Application.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions and Download the App.
- After successful download, open the app on your device.
You can now access your Mobile Banking through Utkarsh Mobile Banking App, using either of these three ways:
1. User ID & Password OR
2. MPIN OR
3. Biometric
Steps to Self-Registration:
SIM Binding for New Customer
Step 1: Open the app and click on Self Registration option. It navigates to Next screen.
Step 2: Select among three options Account Number, CIF or Debit card as per your preference.
Step 3: Click on SEND SMS option, it will redirect to default SMS App, where an auto populated alpha numeric short code will be displayed to the customer. User needs to select the SIM before sending the SMS.
Step 4: After sending the SMS, go back to Utkarsh Mobile Application.
Step 5: Review all the details on Confirmation and click on Submit Button.
Step 6: Enter your desired User Name & Password, Reconfirm the password, select your Security Image & Secure Phase and click on Submit Button.
Step 7: Self Registration is done successfully.
Steps to generate MPIN:
Step 1: Click on Set MPIN
Step 2: Enter Internet Banking User ID and Password. Click on Next Button
Step 3: Enter OTP sent on your Registered Mobile Number. Click on Submit
Step 4: Enter a desired 4 digit number as your MPIN.
Step 5: Re-enter the 4 digit MPIN
Step 6: Click on Next Button
Step 7: MPIN has been set successfully and will be displayed on screen.
Step 8: Click OK
What is Sim Binding?
SIM binding is a new feature available on the Utkarsh Mobile App that allows customers to link their account only to a phone number registered with the Bank. During registration on the Utkarsh Mobile App, the user is asked to verify their SIM through sending SMS from their registered mobile number.
Why we need SIM Binding?
This allows access to the mobile banking application from a trusted device only and makes your app usage safe and secure.
What is the new registration process for existing users?
STEP 1: Update your Utkarsh Mobile App from Google Play store /iOS App store, to get access to new version of with enhanced security features.
STEP 2: Enter the Username and password/ mPin/ Biometric.
STEP 3: Click on SEND SMS option, it will redirect the customer to default SMS App. Customers have to send the auto populated alpha numeric short code from Registered Mobile number.
STEP 4: After sending the SMS, customer have to go back to Utkarsh Mobile Application.
STEP 5: SMS will be verified at the background and on successful verification, app will display Home page of the application.
STEP 6: After entering all details correctly, app will display message for successful registration. Now, User can log in to the Utkarsh Mobile Banking App.
Can I register multiple devices for Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Mobile Banking Application?
Utkarsh Mobile Banking application will work only on those device which have SIM of mobile number registered with the Bank.
In what cases Utkarsh Mobile Banking Application ask for SIM Binding?
- First time registration
- Device changed
- Sim is swapped
- SIM number is changed, Mobile Number is updated
In case of any issue while SIM Binding process, what basic checks I have to do?
- Your mobile data/WIFI is turned on
- Make Sure that Registered Mobile Number is active and has SMS balance
- Ensure correct SIM number is selected before sending SMS
- Aeroplane mode is turned off
- You have at least one bar of signal
What if I lost my mobile number which was registered at Utkarsh Small Finance Bank?
In case of loss/theft of your Registered Mobile Number, please block your SIM immediately. Once the new SIM is issued from the telecom operator. kindly use the newly provided SIM in your mobile handset and follow the registration process.
Is it possible to have SIM binding if the device is having Dual SIM?
Yes. If the device is having Dual SIM, appropriate SIM is to be selected for sending an SMS for SIM Binding process
