You can download the Utkarsh Mobile App from either Google play store or Apple App store, depending on the IOS you are using. All you need to do is follow the below mentioned process to download the app:

  1. Go to the Play Store and search for Utkarsh Mobile Application.
  2. Accept the Terms & Conditions and Download the App.
  3. After successful download, open the app on your device.

You can now access your Mobile Banking through Utkarsh Mobile Banking App, using either of these three ways:

1. User ID & Password OR
2. MPIN OR
3. Biometric

Steps to Self-Registration:

SIM Binding for New Customer

Step 1: Open the app and click on Self Registration option. It navigates to Next screen.

Step 2: Select among three options Account Number, CIF or Debit card as per your preference.

Step 3: Click on SEND SMS option, it will redirect to default SMS App, where an auto populated alpha numeric short code will be displayed to the customer. User needs to select the SIM before sending the SMS.

Step 4: After sending the SMS, go back to Utkarsh Mobile Application.

Step 5: Review all the details on Confirmation and click on Submit Button.

Step 6: Enter your desired User Name & Password, Reconfirm the password, select your Security Image & Secure Phase and click on Submit Button.

Step 7: Self Registration is done successfully.

Steps to generate MPIN:

Step 1: Click on Set MPIN

Step 2: Enter Internet Banking User ID and Password. Click on Next Button

Step 3: Enter OTP sent on your Registered Mobile Number. Click on Submit

Step 4: Enter a desired 4 digit number as your MPIN.

Step 5: Re-enter the 4 digit MPIN

Step 6: Click on Next Button

Step 7: MPIN has been set successfully and will be displayed on screen.

Step 8: Click OK

What is Sim Binding?

SIM binding is a new feature available on the Utkarsh Mobile App that allows customers to link their account only to a phone number registered with the Bank. During registration on the Utkarsh Mobile App, the user is asked to verify their SIM through sending SMS from their registered mobile number.

Why we need SIM Binding?

This allows access to the mobile banking application from a trusted device only and makes your app usage safe and secure.

What is the new registration process for existing users?

SIM Binding for Existing Customer:

STEP 1: Update your Utkarsh Mobile App from Google Play store /iOS App store, to get access to new version of with enhanced security features.

STEP 2: Enter the Username and password/ mPin/ Biometric.

STEP 3: Click on SEND SMS option, it will redirect the customer to default SMS App. Customers have to send the auto populated alpha numeric short code from Registered Mobile number.

STEP 4: After sending the SMS, customer have to go back to Utkarsh Mobile Application.

STEP 5: SMS will be verified at the background and on successful verification, app will display Home page of the application.

STEP 6: After entering all details correctly, app will display message for successful registration. Now, User can log in to the Utkarsh Mobile Banking App.

Can I register multiple devices for Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Mobile Banking Application?

Utkarsh Mobile Banking application will work only on those device which have SIM of mobile number registered with the Bank.

In what cases Utkarsh Mobile Banking Application ask for SIM Binding?

Application will ask for SIM binding in below mentioned cases:
  1. First time registration
  2. Device changed
  3. Sim is swapped
  4. SIM number is changed, Mobile Number is updated

In case of any issue while SIM Binding process, what basic checks I have to do?

To complete the SIM binding process, user need to ensure that:
  1. Your mobile data/WIFI is turned on
  2. Make Sure that Registered Mobile Number is active and has SMS balance
  3. Ensure correct SIM number is selected before sending SMS
  4. Aeroplane mode is turned off
  5. You have at least one bar of signal

What if I lost my mobile number which was registered at Utkarsh Small Finance Bank?

In case of loss/theft of your Registered Mobile Number, please block your SIM immediately. Once the new SIM is issued from the telecom operator. kindly use the newly provided SIM in your mobile handset and follow the registration process.

Is it possible to have SIM binding if the device is having Dual SIM?

Yes. If the device is having Dual SIM, appropriate SIM is to be selected for sending an SMS for SIM Binding process

  2. Register for SMS alerts to keep track of your Banking transactions.

  4. Do not follow any URL in messages that you are not sure about. There may be a chance of getting hacked.

  5. Install an effective mobile anti-malware/anti-virus software on your Smartphone and keep it updated.

  6. Maximise the security features by enabling encryption, remote wipe and location tracking on your device.

  7. Turn off wireless device services such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS when they are not being used.

  8. Download apps only from official app stores.

  9. Log out from your Mobile Banking as soon as you have completed your transactions.

  10. Be aware of shoulder surfers while typing confidential information on your mobile in public places.

    1. Clear the browsing history.
    2. Clear cache and temporary files stored in the memory as they may contain your account numbers and other sensitive information.
    3. Block your Mobile Banking applications by contacting your Bank. You can unblock them when you get the mobile back.

  • Do not save confidential information such as your Debit/Credit Card numbers, CVV numbers or PINs on your mobile phone.

  • Do not enable auto-fill or save user IDs and passwords for Mobile Banking.

  • Avoid using unsecured Wi-Fi, public or shared networks

  15. Do not use "jailbroken" or "rooted" devices for online banking. Jailbreaking or rooting a device (the process of breaking into the phone's built-in operating system to control it outside the vendor's original intention) exposes the device to additional malware and gains administrative or privileged access of OS
  16. Only download apps from official app stores such as Apple iTunes, Android Marketplace, Google Play Store or BlackBerry App World as applicable
  17. Never disclose personal information or online banking credentials via e-mail or text message as these can be used for identity theft
  18. Log out from online Mobile Banking or application as soon as you have completed your transactions. Also make sure you close that window
