- “USFBL Debit Card User” refers to any individual holding a USFBL Savings Account, facility account(s), depository account(s), or any other eligible account(s) linked to the bank’s debit card services. This includes customers who have received communication from USFBL regarding the Offer.

- “Cardholder(s)” refers to the customers to whom a USFBL Debit Card has been issued and who are authorized to use it.

1. What is a “Will”?
A Will is a written legal declaration by an individual (Testator) expressing their intentions regarding the distribution of his/her properties, assets, and wealth - whether to family, relatives, or any third parties, or charitable institutions after His/her demise.
2. Who should make a “Will”? Am I too young for it? Is it not only for the old people?
If you are an adult (18 years and above) and owns any asset – such as a bank account, fixed deposits, provident fund, shares, valuable items like mobiles, jewellery, car, property etc., - is advised to make a Will.
3. What are the benefits of making a Will?
With the creation of a Will - YOU get to decide about distribution of your assets / properties as per your express wishes rather than being governed by the default provisions of applicable succession laws, which may not reflect your intended distribution.
4. I have already made nominations in some of my bank accounts/ properties? Do I still need a Will?
Yes, it is still recommended to execute a Will. A nominee merely acts as a custodian or trustee of the assets/ properties and does not acquire legal ownership. The Nominee is required to transfer the asset to the rightful legal heir, as determined by a Will or applicable succession laws. A Will clearly defines the legal heirs and their respective entitlements.
5. Who is a Legal Heir?
A legal heir is an individual legally entitled to inherit the properties / assets of a deceased person.
- In case of “Will” being there: The beneficiaries named in the Will are the legal heirs.
- In case of ‘No-Will’ situation: The assets are distributed as per the applicable succession laws. Succession Certificate may be required from the Court, as applicable.

2. How should I sign the Will? After signing the Will, what should I do?
The Will must be signed in the presence of two witnesses. The signing sequence is:
- You/ The testator signs the Will.
- The two witnesses sign thereafter.
Please note that all three parties must be present at the time of signing the Will.
Keep the signed Will in a safe and secured place. It is a valid legal document. If you have chosen an executor for the Will, do ensure that the executor is aware of the location where it is kept.
3. Who is a Beneficiary?
Beneficiary’ is the individual or entity entitled to receive your properties / assets under the terms of a Will.
A beneficiary under your will can be your family members, relatives, friends, servants, charitable institutes etc.
4. Who can act a witness?
Any adult (age 18 and above), who is of sound mind, and is NOT named in the Will (beneficiary) can act as a witness.
Beneficiary of the Will CANNOT be a witness. Depending on your comfort, you may want your doctor / CA to be a witness.
You will need two witnesses.
5. Who is an Executor? Is it necessary to appoint an executor to a Will?
An Executor is an individual appointed in the Will to implement its instructions post the Testator’s death.
An Executor be any trusted person like a family member, family friend, lawyer, doctor or CA or any professional who can assist the family to act as per your wishes in the Will. Beneficiaries of the Will can also be Executor.
Though it is not mandatory to appoint an Executor, however it is recommended to appoint an Executor in Will document for smooth and faster distribution of assets.
6. Will QuikDox be an Executor?
Executor is a person appointed by you to take action on your wishes as per your Will.

Property that is acquired through purchase, gift, or inheritance under a Will is considered self-acquired. It also includes properties received post family partition. It excludes undivided ancestral properties.
10. What is ancestral property?
Ancestral property refers to undivided inherited property passed through generations by birth.
The online Will tool is not designed for ancestral property matters. The ancestral properties need to be excluded from the information you are providing.
11. Is the online Will at QuikDox for everyone?

A nomination only designates a custodian, not the legal owner. A will, on the other hand, is a legal document that established the entitlement to your assets. In case of a conflict, the Will prevails over the nomination. While a nomination ensures a smooth Settlement of assets, a will legally decides the final ownership. Therefore, having Will is important even if you nominated someone.

1. Do I have to mandatorily “Register” / “Notarise” / or pay “Stamp duty” on my Will?
No, as per Indian Law, notarisation or registration of a Will is not mandatory. Stamp duty is not payable on Will. Once you print and sign the Document with two witnesses as per the instructions given, it becomes a legally valid Will. Even a subsequent unregistered Will can revoke the earlier registered Will.
2. Is Legal paper needed? Or the normal print of the created Will is accepted?
The Will can be printed on any paper. You can take a print on a normal A4 paper.
3. I have changed my mind and now I want to change my Will which I made at QuikDox.com. Can I do that?
Yes, you can easily do it. We understand that changes will happen in life and we are happy to help you keep your Will up to date. You can always make changes and generate a new Will at QuikDox as per your wishes.
Take a print of the new Will and sign it with two witnesses as per instructions given. It is advisable to destroy the earlier signed Will.

6. What if the Bank Nominee differs from the Will beneficiary, who will get the benefit?
