In Utkarsh Bank’s very new probationary officer program, Mangalayatan University will be the Academic partner collaborating with Institute of Professional Banking(IPB).

  7. • 6 Months of on-the-job training, including weekend online classes, aligning with exposure in sales and operations, with a monthly salary of around Rs. 16,000/- (or as per company’s norms)

  8. • Proposed Roles: Credit Manager – MBIL, Relationship Officer – Wheels, Sales Manager - Assets, ABM & BOM

The Utkarsh Small Finance Bank has developed the Utkarsh Abhyuday Program, a career advancement tool aimed at transforming its employees into dynamic banking professionals.

This program is a significant milestone in the training and development of future banking leaders. Its goal is to equip employees with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel as probationary officers.

The curriculum covers various aspects of banking, including financial management, risk analysis, customer service, and strategic planning.

Additionally, it focuses on developing soft skills such as leadership, effective communication, situational analysis, and problem-solving. Through this structured training program, aspiring probationary officers will enhance their competence and readiness to take on greater responsibilities.


Program Design:

A 9-month certification course designed to upgrade the knowledge and skills of selected employees, preparing them for first-level supervisory roles.

  1. 3 months of Classroom Training: Selected employees will undergo three months of intensive classroom training.

  2. 3 months of Project Work: Following the classroom training, employees will be assigned special projects at various branches.

  3. 3 months in New Role: After completing their projects, employees will assume their new roles for three months, with subsequent salary and grade revisions.

  1. Graduates of this program will emerge with a distinguished personality and cutting-edge knowledge of the bank’s products, processes, and policies, making them industry adept.
